I recently set up a Google Web Alert for notifying me on Google results for my name. This morning I received an email alert from Google with a link directly to my Outside Blog. I couldn’t believe it. It seems like I just set it up the other day. Thanks ActiveRain, it works!

I noticed on google that you can setup alerts for websites and other web locations as well as blogs! thanks for the link to google! I just setup my alerts as well!
Hi Stephen: The Google Alert email had it listed under the tag name Buyers. There was also another one under the tag name Doctors. Here's what was in the Google Alert email:

Google sends me an email whenever my name comes up in their search engine.

Michael im assuming that your name comes up in their search engine due to someone searching for you, your services or your website? if thats how your name is registered in Google? Have a safe and Happy 4th yourself.
